As it's my last day in Amsterdam before catching a train back to Paris tonight I'm still very much immersed in the world of their great design. As I peeked into hundreds of immaculately designed apartments in Amsterdam I pondered over the thought of what a designer's pad would actually look like... and I have come across a goody that I'm extremely excited to share with you.
Bloesem is a very cute, funky and quite renowned design blog in this part of the world, and they're the source of this great story. Very recently they undertook an interview with designer Anne Olde Kalter from design group La Farme and had the privilege of taking some snaps in the delectable world that is her home. The home is amazing and dream-like. It is set in a little town very near Amsterdam, on the river Amstel, and is just next to a very cute little bridge.
This story is particularly dear to my heart because last Friday we took a bike ride to this little village and I fell in love with the little houses, each one more inspiring then the previous, and all lost in a greenery that can only be heaven grown... and what do you know? I find a designer's home nestled in that paradise. A designer's home that uses the simplest objects as adorning pieces to create a decorating world of magic. And the soft grey, faded tones... nothing too intrusive, no stroke of creativity too loud... and I love the flowers, the fishing rod and the shopping trolley...
