Every object holds a life

"I like the idea that in every object is held somebody's life. I hope that he who is going to possess an object will think about that and take good care of it". This beautiful little quote comes directly from the designers at Manoteca and I think embodies the souls of their designs to a perfect tee.

At Manoteca, Italian design company, deliciously quirky and functional objects are made from recycled products. These beautifully crafted products, however, are probably like nothing you've ever come across before. The collection consists of Alice in Wonderland-like bikes with cute little book carriers, a tree that acts as a light feature, and possibly my quirkiest favourite, a shy white cabinet standing timidly alone which, upon closer look, we see is populated by little white people. They've made it their home.

These designs undoubtedly tantalise the child within us. As different and as quirky as these art-pieces are, each and every one of them carries an unquestionable level of sophistication in forethought, execution and design craftsmanship. Each piece exudes a character and a voice of its own, as though we can maybe, just maybe, hear that, indeed, they whisper memories from moments gone by...
