Monday penthouse dreaming...

Here's a little something to make our Monday start to the week a little more motivating. Below is a delicious, colourful and oh-so-very tempting to purchase triplex penthouse situated in one of the funkiest cities in the world, Stockholm. I say 'to purchase' because this little baby is on the market for the robust little sum of 5.34 million dollars. Yes sireee, it's available...

Expensive as it may be, dreaming is free, so let's get lost! Where does one start? The views are, of course delectable, and I love how each space invites and maximises light all while arousing the aesthetic senses through the injection of lively, bright and zesty colours. The interiors are so lightly furnished and are not too large. I love that despite it being a penthouse there is an inviting, homey & cozy kinda' feeling.

Male model's lavish Swedish pad

This pad just oozes funk and groove and is totally inspiring by way of what tickles and excites my aesthetic and creatives antennae. This richly designed apartment belongs to 30 year-old model Patric Öhlund and is situated in, surprise, surprise, Stockholm! I allow myself to say 'surprise' surprise' because I just find Swedish design divine, as close to perfection as can be, or at least my idea of design perfection, of course... and as I continue to research material for Nest of Pearls and learn what's out there, I thrive on what I come across in the north of Europe.

So back to the below... just look at the details and get lost in the devil that hides within. I have so much respect for people who know how to mix simplicity with eclectic accents and portray a fearless yet sophisticated hand at interior design. One thing, among many in this abode, that stands out is the collection of lights. Every fitting is different yet simple in design, and all come together like the perfect choir. 

In taking a closer look at the photos we realise that the space is quite small, yet the eye keeps dancing forward, lured by the rich drama that unfolds in each room, lured by the framing aspect of the bookshelves, picture frames and bold door frames...
