I came across the design group Mini Moderns in my recent story of last week, Humble dreams of a Parisian loft, and immediately knew I had to share them in a post. The funky London based group, launched in 2006 by designers Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire, is an interiors brand specialising in applied pattern across a range of products including wallpapers, fabrics, cushions, rugs and ceramics.
When I laid eyes on their work I was like a kid in a lolly shop. The colour inspired me like crazy and I had some trouble picking out what to share with you. I mean, talk about wallpaper created with conviction, oomph and guts. These designs are not shy, and rightly so. They jump off the page and quickly diffuse into the creative nooks and crannies of our soul. The designs are stylish, sophisticated, and full of fun character, all at the same time.
I could oh-so-easily throw in such a seductive feature wall... one that could bring out the character of a favourite furniture piece, or on which one can simply hang a beautifully crisp, white empty frame and really magnify and bring to life the mesmerising detail of the wall...
